Iskra: Non-aligned design 1946–1990 exhibiton opened in the beginning of November 2009 in the Architecture Museum of Ljubljana is a unique monument of Slovenian industrial design during the Yugoslavia era. The last exhibition-guidance in this year will happen on Sunday, December the 13th 2009, by authors Cvetka Požar, curator of visual communications an senior curator (AML), and Barbara Predan, expert consultant and initiator of the project (Pekinpah Association). The exhibition will be open until February the 28th 2010.
Exhibiton's focus is the wide range of industrial and graphic design items that resulted from Iskra's design department’s efforts (1962-1982). The project also marks the 30th anniversary since the launch of Iskra's internationally recognized telephone, the ETA 80, by the distinguished Slovene designer Davorin Savnik. Iskra, just like Gorenje, represents a symbol of Slovenian electronics and industrial design knowledge production.
