Kronos Electric Personal Locator

Kronos Electric's idea for the Personal Locator came to GDS as a lucid vision of a product and service that could easily conquer the local market as well as target the Italian, French, Spanish, UK, Belgian and Dutch markets.

The Personal Locator is a flexible solution for people who may need special assistance. In case of emergency, the Locator enables the owner to get immediate help by pressing on the emergency button, which can be connected to either five different phone numbers or a control centre. It also enables the owner to answer, deny, or end a call.

The Personal Locator is a simple and handy system with a shatter-resistant and waterproof design that still allows for customization. As the Locator is intended for many different demographics - small children, the old, the ill, and others with special needs - the design team faced the challenging of creating several different designs that allow the Locator to be carried either around the neck, waist, wrist, or attached to the clothes. Another one of the Locator's advantages is in the small amount of confusing buttons; there are only three main buttons on the top of the device with the emergency button being the largest.

Kronos Electric's device, which was thoughtfully designed at Gorenje, is being further developed to eventually be marketed to new demographics, such as extreme sportsmen and even pets.

Kronos Electric is a young and very prolific telematics engineering enterprise developing vehicle location systems, GPS and GPRS trackers, as well as web based servers.
