New image of milk for Pomurske mlekarne

Who in Slovenia doesn't know Lejko Mlejko milk and the recognizable blue packaging of the milk Pomursko Mleko by the dairy company
Pomurske mlekarne? These are the products that remained being our daily companions for many years now. The trust shown to the joint creation of the new packaging for these products is a high aknowledgement for GDS and also a challenge of bringing the client's courage for changing such a standard image to the final success.
In addition to renovation of the existing packaging for milk, there was also a need to create a packaging for a completely new dairy product on the Slovenian market - milk with added plant sterols. It was one of the ways how Pomurske Mlekarne responded to the demands of the modern lifestyle, demographic trends and health status of the population.
Darja Ficko, Head of Marketing of Pomurske Mlekarne: “When we were preparing a new product, the UHT milk with added plant sterols, we wanted to renew the rest of the packaging for milk as well. We sent the task to four agencies and the one that convinced us with its outline solution was GDS. Because we never cooperated before, we initially had some concerns, of course. But we were surprised by the enthusiasm with which they tackled the tasks. At each meeting they had new ideas and in the end we even included renovation of packaging for some other products. Together we also developed a small campaign and we’re continuing working together in 2010, both in the field of packaging design as well as in advertising.”
GDS's way is to take projects holistically. Therefore, when designing packaging, there was a lot of collaborative thinking about what does the dairy Pomurske Mlekarne represent, what will it still become in the future, what is it's product portfolio like, who is the today's buyer of milk and what is he or she like, what all can a packaging be ... The interweaving between knowledge and energy of Pomurske Mlekarne and GDS led to the creation of the packaging which is different and is leaving the client plenty of scope for further growth and development of the product.
