Jasna Petan, Managing Director

"Innovation and original design form the foundation of a fascinating and successful product history, and nowadays they are key to market success."

With her long and rich interdisciplinary experiences in marketing brand management, and fashion design, Jasna Petan, MBA, knows what can truly convince the end-user. Management of GDS's strategic direction, which is now passing from the deployment phase to the growth phase of its life cycle, is literary written oh her skin, and her sense of originality, coupled with the opportunity to lead such a successful creative team, only adds to that. To always keep surprising themselves and their public, while still inspiring new and original design solutions is the life philosophy and business philosophy of GDS employees.

Lidija Pritržnik, Creative Director

"My inspiration comes from the end-user."

Lidija Pritržnik is the head of design for internal clients at GDS. She is a calm and thoughtful designer who simply loves her work. She enjoys discovering new design concepts and her best ideas always come from research and contemplating about the end-user and how to improve his quality of life. Her work has been rewarded with numerous design awards including the ICSID Excellence Award, the Red Dot Design Award, the Plus X Award, and many other awards for innovation.

Saša Hribernik, Architectural Design Manager

"I explore everything from feng shui and colour psychology to current scientific developments."

Saša Hribernik is innovative, curious, and an experienced manager in the area of architectural design for integrated design solutions. She most enjoys the interior design, an area where she can apply her characteristic explorer's spirit to combine 5000 year-old knowledge with modern discoveries. She believes that the future of design is in protection of natural resources. Function and innovation, also in the service of sustainable development, are ultimately reflected by those things that improve the world and help people to enjoy a higher quality of life.

David Cugelj, Industrial Designer

"It is sometimes necessary to step back and look at the project from critical distance."

As a dynamic person he is most satisfied when he is expanding his horizons. He enjoys discovering new ideas and always strives to find the best solutions. To that end, he doesn't look for inspiration in others; he wants to create new stories, rather than just repeating old ones. He enjoys working with numerous clients on different projects and he is constantly keeping tabs on the latest developments in industrial design. In this way, day after day, he fills his working hours by doing what he loves the most: creating.

Ana Osredkar, Project Manager

"Good design creates value for the end user."

Ana believes that only by stepping in your "users' shoes" and walking around in them for a while, can you gain real insight in what your product really means to the user and how it can be improved in the future. Since every product today is accompanied by services, these should also be designed according to needs of the users. GDS with its young, interdisciplinary team is the place where she can take part in projects based on this design thinking approach.

Petra Lepoša, Project Manager

"The best designer is the end-user."

As a project manager she prefers fieldwork, meeting people and getting first-hand information. She is a psychologist with a great sense for design and consumer, which is also her favorite "designer". She admires Scandinavian design that draws inspiration from nature and, with minimal interference, both simplifies and adds value. Petra is glad to work at GDS, as it is a place where she can help to improve the consumer experience based on thorough researches.

Tina Jeřabek, Industrial Designer

"It's just beautiful to see that the final product came from your handiwork."

Architect by profession she is working as an industrial designer on GDS's domestic appliances, furniture, and ambient projects. She's a determined and self-confident person who always loves to listen to other people's ideas and visions. Although she mostly enjoys the early stages of projects, the final stage - the finished product - is always the biggest satisfaction. She enjoys working at GDS simply because she's able to work on what she loves most.

Tomi Krašovec, Industrial Designer

"Design is functionality with emotions."

Solving the seemingly smallest - but of vast importance to the end-user - issues can often pose the biggest challenges. Within GDS Tomi covers the area of cooling, washing and drying appliances. He loves design because of all the possibilities for integrating emotion and functionality. He is an adrenalin-loving athlete, a former musician, and a world-traveler who holds up honesty and trust as his highest values. At GDS, he is most attracted by the opportunity to be involved in the entire design process, from initial research to the product launch.

Matevž Popič, Industrial Designer

"Design= design principles + user satisfaction."

The youngest member of GDS team is a positive person and an innovation-oriented designer who is interested in integrated solutions. He believes that design should connect function, structure, and form. He understands industrial design as a tendency to perfection and an opportunity to offer the user a better solution than what is currently on the market. He finds GDS most challenging environment because he can work directly in production alongside people who have top-level knowledge in technology and design.

Miran Napotnik, Design Support

"Without design, new ideas, and solutions, there would be no progress."

At GDS, Miran Napotnik is employed as both a designer (with a specialty in 3D modeling and rendering) and an IT specialist. Currently he is working in the field of cooking appliances. He describes himself as an open and communicative person and like many of his colleagues he also enjoys working in new project development. As a person who believes that design gives life its purpose, he appreciates the fact that he can work at GDS with a quality team in an environment where every day brings something new.

Blaž Jelen, Design Support

"These days it is difficult to be original, that's why I think designing is a special mission."

He is a designer from Gorenje´s "old school". He admires fine arts, carefully worded poetry and prose, music, and photography. At GDS, he is responsible for product graphics. He views design as a profession, that can help to improve everyday life and contribute to community welfare and its single member. As so many wonderful things have already been invented, Blaž is of the opinion that true originality is very rare these days; therefore he is privileged in his profession to be a part of those occasional moments of true innovation.

Nives Kraševec, Design Support

"Color is interwoven throughout my life."

She has great love for her profession and after 34 years in Gorenje she is still always eager to come to work. Color determination and graphic solutions are her specialty, and she's recently been focusing on these two areas in Gorenje's cookware sales department. While her retirement is fast-approaching, there is another area of occupation that she really enjoys: transferring her vast knowledge and experience to her younger coworkers.

Jasmina Ravnjak, Back Office Manager

"I Like to try everything, and everything that I try is a challenge to me."

She loves working in small teams, and this immediately made her a perfect fit for GDS where she covers part of HRM and bookkeeping, supports different projects and organizes events. Her biggest challenge is working on projects - from leading, assisting, and analyzing to dealing with the myriad different tasks that the job demands of her. She develops her proffesioanl skills in her private life too as she manages the career of her son, Tim-Kevin Ravnjak, an accomplished professional snowboarder who is on the slope to major international success.

Mira Pančur, Office Administrator

"As a consumer, I'm drawn to what catches my eye."

She is often lovingly referred to as "Mom" by her colleagues. She has worked at Gorenje for over 30 years and has been a part of GDS for 8 years. As a person, she is up-front and speaks her mind, and as a member of the GDS team she is an adaptable multitasker who is open to everything. She appreciates that she gets along well with her coworkers.
